Warehouse design
At Dimensia, we specialize in comprehensive warehouse design, intervening in all key phases of the logistics chain: from receiving materials and their storage to order preparation and dispatch. Our work is based on rigorous technical analysis and precise calculations, which allow us to design the most appropriate work methodology for each client, tailored to their operational situation and specific objectives. To this end, we rely on twenty exclusive, in-house developed software tools that we have refined over time thanks to the experience gained from numerous projects.
We're not focused on a single industrial sector, and that versatility is precisely one of our greatest strengths. We've worked with companies from very diverse sectors, which has allowed us to successfully transfer innovative techniques and solutions from one area to another, generating significant improvements. This adaptability, active collaboration with the teams at each company, and leveraging their internal knowledge have, in many cases, been key factors in achieving our success.
01Methodology
We apply techniques of Big Data
to analyze and model the order and entry structures
of the logistics center, which allows us to understand the actual flows and establish a solid foundation for optimizing processes.
We accurately calculate the Receiving times, location, picking, replacement and shipping, also evaluating the performance of the personnel and machinery
to detect points for improvement.
With all this information, we simulate intralogistics processes, considering different scenarios and levels of automation, to anticipate results and support decisions with reliable data.
02Sizing
We analyze the volumetric capacitiesthrough our software
own, which combines historical data and demand projections to assess how available space fits with the real flows of goods.
We define the storage and containment media
most suitable (dynamic shelving, compact shelving or automated systems) depending on the type of product, its weight, rotation and handling requirements, balancing efficiency and safety.
We determine the necessary surfaces
in beaches
and number of springs, applying queuing theory, and we simulate the parking areas and outdoor truck yard to ensure efficient flow.
03 Investment
We analyze in detail the investment costs
planned, evaluating different operating scenarios to support strategic decisions based on a solid economic foundation. This allows for anticipating the financial impact of each alternative.
We calculate the operating costs
associated with the future implementation, considering all the resources and operational needs required for the operation of the system, from personnel to consumables and maintenance.
We study the Pay-back
of machinery and automation, comparing methodologies manual, semi-automatic and automatic
to define the most profitable option.
